Last Saturday we had the privilege of attending a breath-taking, mystical performance by Miss Elizabeth Muise. In an intimate loft space adorned with jewel-colored gauze and silks, twinkling candles and filled with the intoxicating scent of incense, the audience lounged on cushions at the feet of the performers as they watched them dance to the music of a passionate young drummer. Come join us for the first Gypsy Nomads live DVD filming on March 25th 2010! Scott and Samantha will be celebrating 10 years of creative collaboration and what better way than to have a concert at a mid 1800s brewery!

Spread the word!

We need the most fun, lively, creative, rambunctious gypsy cabaret fans to come out and play with us. Costumes are a must to enter the filming area which will be in the "Bottling Works Tavern" a space that just oozes atmosphere. A vaudeville-esque stage with balcony and the entire room is wooded with original post and beam construction. A perfect location for an evening a la Moulin Rouge! Costumes galore PLEASE! Faerie/Ren/Steampunk/Gypsy/Vaudeville/Cabaret - go all the way!

We will have other guest performers whose talents will delight you throughtout the evening, the hypnotizing belly dancing of Elizabeth Muise, the myriad talents of the stiltwalking, glass ball contact juggling of the lovely Noelle Burk, the entrancing fire and poi spinning of Adam Beatty and much more!

The location is amazing. A brewery that was built by German immigrant, Alois Bube, in the 1800s. The inside is like walking into Europe, you will instantly be transported. Don't miss this magickal event!

Solo Choreography Workshop

In this workshop series we will explore different dynamics in dance both technical and conceptual that will improve our choreography.

The workshop will result in a final dance that you have choreographed and will present to the class in an informal show in studio on March 10, 2010.

The class structure will be as follows:

Jan 16 - Lecture on choreography and dynamics
Feb 06 - Personal meeting with me about your ideas for a dance choreography
Feb 27 - Present dance for informal and constructive critique
Mar 13 - Present final piece for the class

$75.00 for workshop series (includes the four classes)

This workshop is a continuation of a previous class in which we discussed the various elements of choreography. In this workshop, students will be showing their own personal choreography that they have since worked on. We will positively and constructively critique each other, in order to grow as artist, creators, and dancers!

This series will continue, therefore beginners, and those who did not attend the last class are welcome to come! We will be reviewing what we learned in the last class, and build on what we have worked on in monthly workshops!

The more the merrier, and the more we can learn from each other!

Make sure to bring the music that you have choreographed to , on an I-pod.

Veil Workshop!!

Learn to bellydance with the veil!

Sunday December 7th 2008 4:30pm-6:30pm at Studio 208 in Cornwall on Hudson

40$ for the workshop

Open to all levels and experience. Suitable for beginners and intermediate dancers.

We will be covering basic bellydance movements and technique as well as learning to dance with the veil.

The veil in bellydance adds drama, anticipation, elegance and mystery to the dance!

Please bring your own veil to the class. If you do not have one, they are available at Brid's Closet in Cornwall. Also, a peice of light fabric that is two and a half to three yards in length can be used as well!

Bring water and wear comfortable clothing! No need to show bellies (unless you want to!)

Middle Eastern Dance, and specifically Tribal Fusion Bellydance has changed my life, and I would like to share the joy and passion.

I'm teaching weekly classes at Brids Closet in Cornwall NY Monday nights from 7:00-8:30.

I'm also teaching a workshop August 23rd from 1:00-3:00 at Yoga Mt Cornwall on Hudson NY.

I will be teaching at Mount Saint Mary college Desmond Campus Monday nights starting November 10th for six weeks.
